Ray Landon
Much of my work is inspired by the moorland landscape of Teesdale, the west coast of Scotland and the western isles. I enjoy experimenting with materials and techniques. Starting out from a collage base, I often incorporate found or recycled materials before adding further layers of paint and pastels. I enjoy playing with textures within painting, working towards an abstracted sense of place and time.
A new range of bold, abstract images have been created in response to the humanitarian crisis in Haiti.
