Rennie Hamilton
Having studied Fine Art Rennie has lectured, taught and exhibited internationally, gaining commissions for both private and public spaces. In recent years landscape, strata and rock formation have been predominant in her paintings, both in acrylic and oil. Climate change compels her to record and capture images that encourage the viewer to question and raise awareness. Experimenting with various media such as glass, textiles and ceramics, the canvases use the interplay of positive and negative shapes and colour to produce a vibrant and dramatic surface. Canvases are often ‘linked’ to illustrate the ‘breakaway’ and ‘fragility’ of our susceptible environment.
